Geelong is the second-largest city in Victoria after the capital Melbourne and its greater region is home to just over 200000 people.
Once a major manufacturing and port city, Geelong is home to the Ford Motor Company, Alcoa and Shell and Deakin University. Geelong in recent years has become one of the best tourist and event destinations in the state.
Gateway to the world-famous Great Ocean Road and famous costal towns of Torquay and Queenscliff, Geelong is a thriving and diverse region.

Geelong has its own AFL Football Club, The Cats, which play many home games at the recently expanded GMHBA Stadium at Kardinia Park.
The City has a major CBD shopping precinct, with most of the major brands represented. There is a great nightlife with many pubs, clubs and restaurants and the region grows some of Australia’s best wine.
Avalon Airport, home of domestic carrier Jetstar is only 15 minutes from Geelong’s CBD. The City is also only an hour’s drive from Melbourne and is at the start of the Bellarine Peninsular and the Surf Coast, making the Geelong region well worth a visit.
