Well known for its spectacular harbour, a popular activity would be to catch a ferry to manly or a bus to Bondi to enjoy a swim at the beach in the often warm and pleasant climate.

Kings Cross is popular with backpackers as many cheap hostels can be found around this area, there are plenty of pubs in Kings Cross, but many are of the Men’s Club variety and feature adult entertainment.

In recent years, Sydney has become one of the premier ‘gay capitals’ of the world due to the large Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras that is celebrated at the end of February every year in Oxford Street.
