Fatso the ‘fat arsed’ wombat was the unofficial mascot for the Sydney 2000 Olympics. He now stands proudly showing off that fat posterior outside Stadium Australia for all to see. This large sandstone art deco building is home to the Sydney Modern Art Gallery. There is a wonderfully diverse collection of art and also some great traveling exhibitions coming to the centre.

Sydney’s Airport is Australia’s largest with 2 terminals, one for domestic travel and the other for international.  An underground rail service links both airports with the city and suburban network. The Sydney Botanical Gardens and Domain is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of this fast city. There are some wonderful walks and jogging tracks and some of the most spectacular views of the city and harbour.
